|CHARACTERISTICS|
Personality: Linkgoro is extremely rough on the interior as he is on the exterior. A hardened warrior, and a Goron of over 200 years old, he has seen much and has been told many stories. Linkgoro likes very few people and only puts up with them because he is the Chief of the Goron Tribe. The only ting Linkgoro may actually care for is his pet Dodongo, Dongorongo whom he befriended when the latter was very young.

Aside from Dongorongo, Linkgoro has a strong hatred and dislike for monsters, evil and Dodongos due to one killing his father. Linkgoro also hates outsiders, as he feels they are the cause of all problems the Gorons have ever faced. As the Chief of the Goron Tribe of Hyrule, Linkgoro is tough, but fair to all, ruling with a great passion and a strong hand, he does not need to demonstrate his power, as all Gorons, young and all respect and listen to him, sometimes to the point of fear.

Linkgoro, like many of the older Gorons, has a short temper, a trait that has turned to friendliness and easy-going spirit in newer generations. Linkgoro will fight before asking questions, using his trusty Battle Axe, an item passed down through his family for centuries, since the travels of the Hero of Time. Linkgoro takes great pride in his ancestry, and will not let anyone who he meets for the first time forget who he is, giving him a strong sense of identity. Despite his hatred of outsiders, Linkgoro has respect for the Hero of Time and the Goddess Hylia, for the way they befriended the Gorons and treated them as equals.

Linkgoro will often rush into battle, unconcerned for his own safety if it means the safety of his people and tribe. Linkgoro places heavy importance on the sustainment of the tribe, and on the tribe being a community, and will often put the tribe before all things (except perhaps Dongorongo).

Brief History: Linkgoro was born in the year 165 After the Rise of Ganondorf. His was the son of Onhrogoro, Chief of the Goron Tribe of Hyrule before him and took his name from his ancestor, Link the Goron, son of Chief and Sage of Fire Darunia, named for the Hero of Time. His father was over 400 when he decided he wanted a child and an heir, nearing the end of most Goron's usual life cycle. For many decades, Onhrogoro passed on all of his knowledge of how to be a Goron and a Chief to his son.

As a child, Linkgoro was also taught all about his ancestry, and how he descended from a Sage of Fire and a great hero who helped the Hero of Time defeat Ganondorf centuries ago. (**His father failed to mention that a Goron male ancestor of his once married a human, having a human child with her, thus allowing the birth of the Maiden who replaced Darunia as Sage of Fire when Ganon attempted to return with the help of Aghanim**)

When Linkgoro was 86, his father travelled into the Goron Mines, as it was reported that Dodongo's were running rampant all throughout the caves. Sure enough, the reports were right, and Onhrogoro was killed when a Dodongo he was fighting exploded suddenly and without warning.

Enraged at the death of his father, Linkgoro grabbed his father's Battle Axe, an heirloom and the only thing retrieved from the Mines after the explosion and killed King Dodongo but not before earning a scar of his own in the fight, the patriarch of the Dodongo hordes. This caused many Dodongo's to flee back to Dodongo's Cavern while the rest were killed as Goron soldiers rushed in to help the young Chief.

After killing King Dodongo, Linkgoro prepared to kill its spawn, the future King Dodongo, but decided not to, as he felt it was young and innocent and had done nothing to deserve such a thing. Instead, Linkgoro called the infant creature Dongorongo, and made it his pet and eventual steed/mount when it grew large enough. Though this was originally seen as a foolish and odd move by most of the tribe, they came to accept Dongorongo as one of their own.

Linkgoro turned the skull of King Dodongo into a helmet and the beast's claws into pauldrons. As the centuries and decades passed, Linkgoro and his pet, Dongorongo, now a fully grown Dodongo, rule the tribe together. They earned the respect of the tribe, and Linkgoro came to be known as tough, but fair, and as a Goron who puts the tribe before all else, even his own life, and became seen as a beacon of bravery and heroics amongst his tribes.

Often Linkgoro will entertain many young Goron's with stories of his past exploits and those told to him by his father, of how Darunia had become the Sage of Fire and helped the Hero of Time defeat Volvagia and seal away Ganon into the Sacred Realm. Hoping that the wisdom of his stories, and the spirit of heroics will pass on to the future of the tribe.

Lately, Linkgoro has done many expeditions into the Dodongo Caverns, as the Dodongo populations are beginning to increase violently, almost dangerously. Darkness begins to cover the world, and Linkgoro is read to face it if he must, for the good of his people.
