| Subject: Verisia, Princess of Hyrule Sun Mar 30, 2014 2:58 pm | |
| |BASICS|Name: Verisia Hyrule, Princess of Hyrule NICKNAME(S): Veris Age: Eighteen Birthplace: Hyrule Castle, Hyrule Current Residence: Hyrule Castle, Hyrule Rank: Guardian of the Triforce of Wisdom, Princess of Hyrule Occupation: Excuse you, she's a princess. Race: Pureblood Hylian Pets: Naturally as a royal, a plethora of animals have been brought into her possession, although there's one she's particularly fond of Illiad -- a jet black horse likened to a modern day Friesian breed.
Weapon Class: Twin Swords Weapon: Verisia wields twin blades that are handgripped in the middle of either weapon. Both of swords are the same weight, relatively light in order for fluid movement in battle; length, when standing go just above her waist; and style, having intricate designs in both the handle and blade. |OPTIONAL|Birthday: Winter Solipsistic, December 21st Blood type: AB - Hobbies: Sleeping (especially when on her horse), reading foreign literature, neglecting duties that of a royal and rather, tagging along as "sidekicks" to adventurers. Quirks: Verisia has a highly unorthodox form of swordplay, accompanied by a fighting style similar to modern day breaking created out of shear boredom. She has ostensibly developed by herself an erratic technique that makes for unpredictable movements, taking pieces from all forms of martial arts and making up the rest as she goes, heavily relying on reflex and instinct when fighting his opponents. Keep in mind, though, she never displays her abilities unless the situation proves dire, finding her highest potential tiring and more often than not, unworthy of the exertion.
Verisia sleeps more than the average person. She has an unconventional way of sleeping well into the evening, or even the entire day. She is the kind of person that indulges in slumber when she is either bored or has nothing to do, with her body becoming accustomed to napping at odd intervals for prolonged hours. While she isn't narcoleptic or have a sleeping disorder, large amounts of rest are part of her daily routine. If you can't find her, she's most likely sleeping somewhere as though it was a hobby. Family: (Will be added once created.) Character Theme: Sing for the Wind, by Roo Panes|APPEARANCE|Hair: Her hair is a light auburn shade of blonde, cascading smoothly -- straight and sleek -- down just below her upper thigh. Like her fringe, which flows towards the right of her head, the tips of her hair end layered and sporadically. In a weak attempt to keep her strains together, she braids a portion of the front section into a small ponytail that finishes directly in the back. Eyes: Slightly wider than average, they aren't abnormal by a noticeable amount. Blatantly delicate and kind, her eyes are a dark shade of amber. Height: 168 CM. (5.5 FT.) Clothes: Her clothing style could be likened to a cheongsam, although with a bit more of a vibrant, more modernized taste. With far from the traditional gowns and dresses a princess is to wear, she dons a four-piece outfit embroidered and belted. The front of her top piece goes a few inches below her abdomen to reveal the second piece, a red pleated skirt, while the back falls at an angle towards her right, lined with a silky red fabric. The third piece is a cloak of sorts that falls to the middle of her calf muscle that is connected to the front piece of her attire. As for the last piece, it's merely an undershirt. Accessories include the bed, which holds her assortment of weapons, fingerless gloves, and thigh-high socks. As for her "princess" attire, she is often seen with regal, pastel gowns resembling the gothic style. Skin: Her skin is like porcelain, quite literally in color and durability. Delicate and soft, one hit and a bruise surfaces. Cuts have the tendency to last for days. Her body is entirely much more fragile than it appears, although that doesn't stop her from using it until she has no strength left. Body Type: Slender, she actually has quite the amount of muscles in her legs, finding it invigorating to "launch off" whenever she starts her attacks, often using her feet in battle. Because of her choice of weaponry, the muscles in her back are also relatively toned and firm, which includes her shoulders and arms. She's a fairly sturdy girl, despite her skin. Image:

|CHARACTERISTICS| Personality: At first glance, Verisia is rather taciturn; reserved and withdrawn from society and its miscellaneous ongoing unless they prove interesting. Naturally, as Triforce bearer of Wisdom, she has intelligence light-years beyond her years, but believes her wisdom provides little to her kingdom and those around it.
She has watched humanity fall countless times despite her warning and insight, reaching the conclusion that it was not worth uttering a word at all, and rather, merely observing their heedless actions and taking it upon herself when the situation called for it. Because of other's past ignorance, she's developed the habit of not speaking often unless you stay around her long enough for her to be comfortable -- only then will her thoughts and opinions actually be shared, rather than played out by her own hand and it alone.
When she actually does speak, she's either dispassionate or talking with traces of somnolence, considering she is sleeping more than half of her life. Rather dismissive to most situations, believing them to be trivial, she will keep a silent streak until a sarcastic quip is voiced with either a deadpan or a witty smirk. The latter of the case is usually when she's more relaxed, allowing a more talkative persona to replace her cold demeanor. No matter, she is still the epitome of a princess in all aspects of her being.
She carries herself with a grace that is beyond comparison, confident in her stride and firm in her actions. Strong-willed and aristocratic, she is poised with a sturdy reign. Even while she neglects majority of her responsibilities, she does so with utmost ease and charisma radiating off of her and her elegance; it results in her getting by with little discipline from her superiors and advisers.
At the end of the day, Verisia may appear like a pretentious, dismissive princess, but is quite far from, one of the most self-sacrificing in the heat of a moment.
Personal Strengths:
She is intelligent and wise She is self-sacrificing in times of trouble She is insightful, withholding amazing understanding of situations She is confident She is charismatic, enticing
Personal Weaknesses:
She has a no-nonsense, quick to the point She is heavily dismissive, quick to right things/people off She is blunt, far too honest for her own good despite being taught otherwise She is slow to trust because of her past, with people ignoring her more often than not
Hamartia: There is a certain lack of faith that could arguably be her greatest downfall. Because of her experience when providing her insight, she feels as though most people are either undeserving, or will not use her wisdom to its fullest potential to ensure success. After being ignored and neglected on countless occasions, after growing tired of rejection and devastation, naturally, there is a part of her that no longer believes in humanity and their decisions.
Rather than taking it upon herself to guide them, she, instead, merely wants to observe their decisions and see how far they will take them. Perhaps, it's her own form of punishment, but unless they prove "worthy" of her knowledge, she would rather suppress her emotions, which is where she is entirely flawed. It's as though she's allowing the world to hold its fate in the palm of their hands, and without any help, civilization surely isn't the brightest. Personal Hero: Her mother, who told her she was free to make her own decisions, thus doing so. Dreams and Ambitions: None, simply intending on surviving until the end of her days.
Likes:
Sleeping/Napping Her horse Fish (raw, fried, barbecued, etc.) Helping people (though she won't admit it) Roaming in silence -- the quiet when being alone
Dislikes:
People (more often than not) Not being listened to Having to explain things Not being taken seriously Trivial dismays, conversation, etc.
Brief History:
"It kills me sometimes, how people die." ― Markus Zusak, The Book Thief
Death was a familiar friend to Verisia; it was something she knew all too well, to where it was the reason behind her withdrawal. It wasn't the disappear of people. No, with time, she knew she would be able to get used to whomever's passing; that kind of abandonment would heal. Rather than the actually fact that someone died acting her, she was more so scarred by how it occurred -- how it could have been prevented if they only listened to her.
With an open court, since a young age, Verisia -- the descendant of the great Link and Zelda -- freely riddled off her opinion and advice to those of whom who would ask for it. Acknowledging the fact that she withheld insight people would travel across kingdoms for, they, however, denied her after their request was granted. She would often give them the most pristine route to take; she would give them a guide that, while unorthodox, was full proof. It was the only way she could guarantee their safety, their happiness -- whatever they were desiring. Interestingly, they asked, received, and abruptly ignored. Because of this, her faith in her kingdom's -- civilization's -- decisions dwindled.
She felt neglected and overlooked. No one enjoyed feeling ignored, but what plagued her most was the fact they were disciplined for their choices. Those whom would come to her for guidance would receive only turmoil when they strayed from her path, and the fact that she could have stopped their demise -- mended her people's sanity and moral -- tore at her. She grew tired of being a witness, and ultimately, declined her position altogether, successfully doing so considering her headstrong demeanor.
Soon enough, she is a descent of greatness and nothing more. She felt as though blood was the only thing that tied her to the legacy of her lineage after the path she decided to take. It wasn't nearly the wisest decision, but blinded by experience and the feelings of regret, disdain -- all those rushes of emotions -- she felt as though she had no choice.
Presently, she merely lives as she wants and does as she pleases with little consideration for others and their possible outcomes. On occasion, she will accompany a traveler on their quests for the thrill of new scenery, perhaps providing a bit of aid when they prove worthy, but that is all. Until she finds her a goal for her life, besides simply breathing and surviving each day to day, resting and dismissing is what she intends to do, as though she was never graced with a title of royalty and wisdom; as though she was a normal Hylian whom never had to witness ruin the comes from the wrong selection.
